The Outdoor Scholar of the Year goes to the student that exhibits a high level of accountability by exceeding in academics, community service, attendance, performance and displays many other exceptional qualities. To achieve this award, scholars have to demonstrate determination and dedication throughout the year, which makes the Scholar of the Year the highest achievement the Program offers. The University of Montevallo has had many excellent recipients past years and this year was no exception. We would like to Congratulate and Thank our 2025 winner, Briggs Alavezos (pictured above), for all he has done and all he continues to do for The University of Montevallo and The Outdoor Scholars Program.
